CPROBJ and zip aren't really competitors; they fullfil somewhat different 
functions. They can provide additive compression, but they work at different 
levels. CPROBJ could be valid for actual production objects of any type 
supported by the command; zip would generally be valid only for the streamfile 
version of the savefiles of those objects.

The two options should be investigated separately, possibly not in "comparison" 
at all.

For example, choice of use should probably be made from the intended result 
rather than from comparison of, say, compression ratios or resource 
efficiencies. Zipping a library savefile for archival storage or FTP may be 
reasonable. But if a library contains a number of large embedded SQL programs 
that are run quarterly or annually, CPROBJ _might_ be a better choice.
