Tom, >Just to clarify... wasn't RPGIV available at V3R2? Most definately. It was on par with V3R6 compilers, although V3R2 was on par with V3R7 for most (all?) features other than the compiler. Thus V3R2 even had support for subprocedures, although names were limited to ten characters. It did not have the features added to RPG in V3R7, but it did have features added to OS/400 in V3R7, such as CHGPF ... SRCFILE(xxx) Doug
