        What exactly is the Box configuration

           iSeris -------------->   |
|
          Pc System ---------->  |  Switch or Hub ??
          IPDS Interface ------> |

       On the IPDS box can you do

        arp -a
        netstat -rn
        netstat -a

        On the iSeries do a Netstat (3)

        Make sure that from either direction that is not an open connection
hung in some state...
