You can always look at it this way.  If IBM gave you an outfile, and then
changed the format in a future release, some people would complain - even
though IBM usually does a pretty good job of letting you know.  This way
you can use the API's - which are a little more stable - if used correctly.
And you might even get better performance versus the outfile.  But if you
need one - you can create one using the API's - to your format.

Yes, it is available in DSPPGM in the "Modules" subfile.  Too bad we can't
get an outfile...
