Hi Martin, how have you transferred the savf to the target system? The savf is an object in its own right of course; if you have saved the savf ... that too must be save with a target release. The save to target release v4r3 is probably to do with the op-codes / commands used in the programs, or DDS keywords in the files. This error occurs when for example, features new-in-V4R4 are used in a program - the earliest target release will then be v4r4. Check out DSPPGM and the value "Earliest release that program can run". If I create a save file and save the library to it with SAVLIB TGTRLS(V4R4M0), the save completes successfully. But when I view the save file, it shows "Release level . . . : V4R5M0". And, indeed, a colleague can't restore it on a V4R4 machine. I've searched the archives, the web, and Usenet about this, but to no avail. I do know there's something buggy, though, because if I specify TGTRLS(V4R3M0), instead of failing elegantly with an "unsupported release" message, the SAVLIB command dumps. Any ideas? Cheers, Martin. -- Martin McCallion Senior Technical Consultant Work: martin.mccallion@misys.com Home: martin.mccallion@ukonline.co.uk Misys International Banking Systems 1 St George's Road, London, SW19 4DR, UK T +44 (0)20 8486 1951 F +44 (0) 20 8947 3373 www.misys.com This email message is intended for the named recipient only.
