I don't have the original message here to work from, but I hav ebeen thinking of something similar to the suggestion of having a multilingual listserv 'sahdow Í've done some Vb programs driving translation engines. There''s an OCX for Easy Trtanslator, which does a good job but doesn't seem to use add-on tech dictionaries. Global Translator works great, has addon dicitionarys, but the only way I've been able to drive it is with sendkey. I've thought of the listserv idea, but as a message board, where the core language is english, and each person can have a split screen with the message side by side in English and their favorite language. Then they put in their response, and it translates - to english and then back to their own language, so they can improve the message until it is decent, and send it. It gets posted in say, Spanish, and in the English core language, so people can also get to it from italian. Many non-english speakers are english readers, especially if they have a draft transalation in their native language to refer to. the reason to use english as the core language is that is what the translation programs do.
