You might also consider how simplistic the ranking system is. A more meaningful ranking might be to get the total $ sales of all customers, then into the ranking field put what percentage of that is this particular customer's sales. I have done reports in which the customer data is sorted from high $ going on down, and then we only print the first couple pages. If done via RPG, you can have the program track how often new page is tripped & then end the program execution after a selected number of pages, so you don't eat 400 resource generating the part of the report we are not going to need.
