Carefully study the text that is sent out at least monthly about what can be posted to this list, such as your SIG. Return to the home page www.midrange.com & notice that there is a resources section where vendors of hardware & software suppliers can be listed, so that when people are looking for what you have to offer that they will find you. Notice as you look through the archives of the lists that there are pages sometimes with advertisements. Perhaps you can have a budget for advertising to people using archives of midrange_L & other lists & help support this wonderful resource at same time. Realize that most users here are technical people who may reccommend this or that solution & like to know what alternatives are out there ... you need to somehow reach out to our non-IT bosses & to end users. I suspect that other folks in your biz won't want to share their trade secrets, so you need to carefully study the bitching going on here in various threads about the difficulty for potential new & old customers to get at iSeries stuff, then you see how to fill in the vaccuum. This great place has some competition. You certainly need to be advertising in the dead tree publications if you not yet already. http://www.as400network.com http://as400magazine.com/ Look at IBM Partners in Education http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/education/pie/ Work towards those new users having experience on your company's stuff. Perhaps when you resell something, leave a label on the unit with your URL & phone # to help people who want more of that kind of product remember where they got it from. I am thinking end user departments get something setup where IT or management know where it came from, then someone in end user department needs another unit ... they might use the label to call for current pricing, then tell management what they want.
