From: "Reeve Fritchman" <reeve@ltl400.com> > IBM is harvesting the old growth and they sure as hell are not planting any > trees. It seems that Rochester is still planting new trees. Not many outside their own forest. And not many seedlings. That is a pity. It leads to haunting in the forest. I'm not sure that having AS/400 specific sales reps would help. Prior to business applications, it took sales reps to sell computers. Businesses would then roll their own apps. These days, buyers look for applications, then consider hardware secondly. It seems to me that the future of the iSeries, is based on whether ISVs will invest in new applications for the platform. Web based applications still look promising to me. Nathan M.
