It shouldn't choke and die exactly. However, you'll probably get CPF3CAA or 
similar unless you subset appropriately, perhaps by processing 
library-at-a-time. What's worst, IMO, about this is that there's no useful way 
to start back up where you left off. (Note that this is not true of the Open 
List APIs.)

In every case I've tried, the list APIs were faster by at least an order of 
magnitude, often by much more.
