Rob, That's 3+ full-time people working on EDI? Do you see a cost justification in-house or is just because of the customer requirements and considered a cost of doing business? We do EDI with multiple customers and vendors. No PC involved. Been using Peregrine/Harbinger Trusted Link/Premenos/ACS network systems software through their many name changes, since we were on the S/36. We've written many interfaces to BPCS and Software Plus. We have roughly 3+ people dedicated to the task of programming for EDI. I've set up a bunch of this but frankly haven't worked on it for a few years. I was curious about how other AS/400 sites are conducting EDI. Specifically, on a PC or AS/400, what packages are being used, how many trading partners are involved, interfaced to AS/400 systems or print and re-key, etc. Ed Chabot The Marlin Firearms Company 100 Kenna Drive North Haven, CT 06473 (203)985-3254 _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l. _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
