I would recommend that you look at pobox.com.  There is information on
their email forwarding at http://www.pobox.com/forwarding.html

This is a not a free service, but it is cheap (the basic service is
$15/YEAR).  And since you are paying for it, if there are problems you have
a right to complain, however I used pobox.com for a few years before I got
my own domain and I never had a problem with it.

Since they only forward the mail (you can't retrieve it directly from the
pobox.com servers) you don't have to worry about it building it up.
