Bob, I know about rules etc. for modern mail readers. Problem is, I don't use modern mail readers. I spend a lot of time on "other peoples" computers. It has been my practice for the last few years to simply use a browser based mail reader (served up by notes), because the interface is simple consistant and I don't ever have to worry about installing any software on someone elses pc. I can get to my mail from anywhere and I don't have to (want to) use outlook. Maybe that makes me old fashioned. Maybe I'm the only one that this stuff bothers. If so, I appologize. But I'm not sure what the purpose of having a digest mode if it makes it harder to consider, evaluate and respond to messages. And then create rules that will automatically file stuff in those folders.
