One of our clients plans to upgrade to V5R1 and install OV/400 over it. Comtech told this client that one of their customers had installed OV/400 over V5R1. The customer contacted IBM software support about V5R1 problems. IBM asked if they had installed OV/400. The customer said yes, and IBM immediately terminated their software support. I thought installing OV400 "at your own risk" meant that if you had problems, you couldn't expect IBM to help fix them. I would have expected IBM to tell the customer to call back if the problems still existed after removing OV/400. So exactly what is at risk should they install OV/400 over V5R1?
