Have you used the FTP server on the AS/400 to get the data?  I've found the
help for FTP that is built into the AS/400 FTP commands to be remarkably
clear and complete.  From a command line, enter "FTP"  then use the F1 key
to read about NAMEFMT and other such goodies.

BTW, If I FTP from one PC to another, it will PUT the data OK.

Sounds like you need to tell the PC FTP server that the user profile you are
connecting to it with should have write access to that directory/drive.
Not familiar with your particular FTP product, but usually there's a
configuration file you can access to control settings such as these.
