There was a post on BPCS_L perhaps a year ago.

Someone was looking around for an ERP for their company, & as part of that
investigation, was visiting the user group lists of the various ERPs & said
something about how the archives was chock full of THIS PROBLEM & THAT
PROBLEM & since it looked like BPCS was nothing but problems, how come our
companies got BPCS in the first place & if you had to do it over again, would
you still go with BPCS?

Well I do not remember my precise answer, but it went something like this.

This must be the FIRST internet list for ERP users that you are looking at,
because a main purpose for a list like this is that WHEN we have a problem,
one of the places we can go to get help is this list, describe our problem,
and get useful tips on solving our problem. If someone posts a bone headed
reply, someone else will be sure to correct them, and in the process we all
learn a little more relevant continuing education. Thus it is in the very
nature of a technical list that it will be filled with people having
questions & problems, looking for answers, debating the best ways to resolve
some challenges.

What you also need to do is go to the user technical conferences &
metropolitan user group meetings. The content is quite different, with a
much heavier presentation of the neat stuff that you can do with that product
& people asking how to do this or that with it.

Many other people posted similar sentiments.
