Source is the machine with the actual file, everybody else is a target.

It sounds as if you have authority problems on the target system. Any
user on the target must have proper authority to files in question.

You also might be running into file share/lock situations, depending on
who does the open, and what their authority is...

Trigger programs throw a little more into the mix but authority is a
very likely candidate for some of the problems.

DDM requires very careful setup and planning....
