Jumping versions will not bust your Queries - it's querying *OUTFILES that
busts your queries. The problem is that the format of the *OUTFILE
changes. We've jumped versions several times and never had to update our
many, many queries.

Queries level check if the file description has change or you change your
Version (not Release) of OS400. It's generally cured by going in to the
Query Definition and back out again.

Queries level check? Damn it's been a long time since I played with Query.
That is really stupid if they do, queries should go through the SQL
interface and not level check, IMHO.

BTW, for the most part, no we do not to have queries.

In this particular instance I would agree with not using LVLCHK(*NO).

However, I would be intrigued as to how you deal with any As/400 Querys
you
have around?

My customers have several thousand ....

Or don't you have any ?

Mike
