I'm afraid that, unless IBM changes direction, they're finished WITH DDS, so somebody else will have to finish it for them. > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com > [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Reeve Fritchman > Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2001 10:37 PM > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > Subject: RE: Display files not compatible with new RPG syntax > > > The DSPATR P-field (program-to-system function) doesn't support > DSPATR(PC), > and I think there's something else with subfiles where indicators are > required. > > If IBM would just finish DDS... > > -----Original Message----- > From: midrange-l-admin@midrange.com > [mailto:midrange-l-admin@midrange.com]On > Behalf Of thomas@inorbit.com > Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2001 10:22 PM > To: midrange-l@midrange.com > Subject: Re: Display files not compatible with new RPG syntax > > On Tue, 13 November 2001, "Joe Pluta" wrote: > > > So, if display files were to go away, RPG wouldn't need indicators > anymore. > > Since dspf keywords and possibly other syntax elements have been reducing > the need for indicators for a number of years, this got me > wondering... just > exactly where are indicators still required for dspfs nowadays?
