Of course, there's still the open questions of "Exactly what causes the bit to get set?" and "Does the bit ever get cleared, and if so, by what?" Those seem interesting to me because I believe there's only one bit involved. And I believe it should only be set when I'm doing 5250 work. But with a single bit per job (task?), it's hard to see how IBM can really do it especially if I can ACQuire and RELease multiple devices at different times or concurrently.
