Jon, Thanks for clearing that up. I have searched high and low in all of the Eclipse whitepapers, articles, and the newsgroup for a mention of Code/400 and what you are saying is great news. That makes Eclipse something to look forward to. At this point I need to replace VAJ due to the lack of support for the 1.3 JDK and have been filling in with NetBeans when necessary. The VCE not being there is OK and I understand that one is being built as an add on. However, I will dearly miss the debugger. I already miss Code/400's editor in VAJ so that is not a problem, and real support for CVS will certainly fit our environment much better than VAJ's Team Repository. What you are missing David is the correct tense in your statement. It should be "which I believe it _will_ replace." Code/400 (a new version) and all the other tools will be integrated into the new Eclipse based IDE over the next 12 months or so. Undoubtedly some features (notably in VAJ which I believe will not have the visual composition piece initially) will step backwards a bit for a short period before they are fully integrated.
