Perhaps tomorrow... -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III President Tech Software (516)627-3800 x11 WaldenL@TechSoftInc.com http://www.TechSoftInc.com -----Original Message----- From: jpcarr@tredegar.com [mailto:jpcarr@tredegar.com] Sent: Thursday, November 01, 2001 7:06 PM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Oracle on an AS/400? Huh? Walden Does Smart Partner mag have a web site? If so, what is it? Ah, Oracle don't run on iSeries. Not even on Linux in a partition I don't believe. John OK, the latest issue of smart partner just hit my desk. On page 10 there's a case study on Sanford Corp (Papermate, Parker, Waterman, etc.) called Great Ink.com In this article there's a statement that says "Several AS/400s running Oracle databases contained Sanford's product..." HUH? Did I miss something or are these guys full of sh*t. I doubt it's a typo since later in the article they also say "...back-end connections between Dynamo and Oracle to retrieve...isolated databases scattered throughout its system of AS/400s." Any ideas? -Walden ------------ Walden H Leverich III _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
