It's quite emotional and biased. You represent one vendor pricing model as if it were criminal. A tier priced vendor could point out that user based pricing models must be criminal because if you buy the tier priced package, you can run as many users off it as you like. So those "per user" guys are ripping you off. It's just a pricing model, for heaven's sake. I do work for my church for free, does that mean I am ripping off my customers by charging them? It is simply one way of approching the problem of trying to sell a package for enough money to keep the producer afloat (and hopefully profitable) while providing a better value to the buyer than the competition. Believe it or not, "per user" priced software vendors are also trying to make a profit. Yup, no kidding. > Anyhow, this thread is dead. I'm done.
