However your halo > seems to be a bit low also when a great number of posting (mentioned > above) were really of little interest to the group in general. Point taken. I am an unabashed self-promoter, and I never said my halo was particularly shiny <grin>. I also occasionally go a bit overboard in providing an alternate viewpoint when I see comments that I personally think are perhaps less than accurate. The issue of LANSA/4GL was one such conversation where I did indeed monopolize the bandwidth probably more than the topic deserved. At the same time, I like to believe I contribute quite a bit to the community. In the last three weeks I've given eight labs and three sessions to the user community at public conferences, and only three of them were related to my architecture <smile>. Seriously, I talk quite a bit about the merits of using Java and OO techniques in conjunction with RPG (and have been for years), trying to move iSeries application programming to a more client/server architecture. PSC400 is an outgrowth of that endeavor, rather than the impetus. Regardless, I will take my tarnished halo and put it back in storage where it belongs. Thank you for your gracious but on-target reply. Joe
