again it seems that Notes is at fault. Maybe the problem is really Notes? :-) Maybe I was just venting my (growing) frustration with "technology-induced" annoyances: "I don't like it, but I can't stop it; the machine won't let me". Hey, we in this business are MAKING these things, we shouldn't accept the lame excuse that the machine (system, program, ...) won't let us do what we want.
