Well, per this snippet I found, I had to wonder:
AS/400 Models 436, 40S, 500, 510, 530, 50S, 53S
will not be supported by OS/400 releases after V5R1.
Turns out that model 400 will also be dropped after V5R1, as the link I
provided yesterday shows.
