Peter,

First, you need to change the Destination Type to '*OTHER'. The '*OS400'
would only be used if the printer was already set up on another
AS400/iSeries, and the IP address entered was the IP of the other /400, not
the printer itself.

BTW, if the printer is attached to something like a HP JetDirect print
server, it may be possible to set a Device of type *LAN, instead of a remote
outq.

The printer is attached to the LAN. I can see it on the Network
Neigborhood. I
did create an output queue for it:
Remote system . . . . . . . . . . . . : *INTNETADR
Remote printer queue . . . . . . . . . : AP_PRT
Connection type . . . . . . . . . . . : *IP
Internet address . . . . . . . . . . . : 150.150.81.23
Destination type . . . . . . . . . . . : *OS400
Manufacturer type and model . . . . . : *IBM4019

What I need to do?

A fairly old printer, but one that is supported in a number of ways.

The question of the day is "How do you have it connected ???"

If it's connected to a 5250 terminal with basic emulation, that's
pretty straight forward.(create a devd and use HPT)

If it's connected to a pc running CA/400, that's pretty straight
forward.(create a devd and use HPT)

If it's connected via twinax, it will auto config with no problem.

For a more thorough laundry list of methods, look here:
