Just did two upgrades this weekend. model 600 (smallest processor) V4R3 w/128 meg memory 12 gig disk model S10 2119 V4R4 w/256memory 32 gig disk model 600 took forever - about 16 hours total including cum ptf model S10 was done in 9 including cum. no performance degradation so far (model 600 already was slow for users) I would recommend more memory for your box. Also - for the 600, just OS, RPG, Dev Tools, took addtl 800 meg disk. be sure to read the Preventive Service Plan (PSP) for this upgrade. (not listed in release instructions)at 4.3, your machine needs to have ptf MF25727 (product 5769999) already installed (or a supersede) we also loaded SF99105 Group PTF for Database SF99096 Hiper ptf's after v4r5 cum ptf hth jim franz ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barb Nash" <Barb.Nash@phbcorp.com> To: <midrange-l@midrange.com> Sent: Monday, October 08, 2001 1:31 PM Subject: Will Upgrading to V4R5 impact performance??? > Hello, > I am planning on upgrading our 9402 (model 400, feature 2131)from V4R3 > to V4R5 in the near future.
