Tom, Yes, they can(and do) have Lasers attached to Jetdirect or other print servers that we print to from the /400. However, this is a dot matrix printer for printing checks. Dot matrix behave notoriously bad on print servers, and I don't have a lot of control over what this particular customer does. They want the printer attached to the A/P clerk's PC, so that they can control where the checks are, and who has access to them. I now have a list of PTF's for TN5250 for V4R1, so I'll see if they are loaded, and if not, give that a try.
