NO downtime in either case. We HAVE had (unplanned) downage due to power loss (building wide) which exceeded the capacity of the UPS. Our router, switches, and firewalls were also down - EVERYTHING. Which brings up a question: Suppose it happens again, and someone requests a page - how can I 'redirect' their request to another server (offsite) to handle the request? Would I need to place a call to our ISP and tell them to handle the redirects? How is such a situation handled in a server farm?
