Okay, thanks for the suggestions all. I think I have finally figured something out, using a combination of what everyone told me, plus a bit of my own ingenuity. Here is what I think I will do: I can copy the spool file into a physical file. Then in a program read though the file looking for the text "Page" (which should always be in the same spot) and grab the page number. From there, I read two lines, which is the number of lines after the line with the word "Page" where the text "Intercompany to" is, and save the company #. If it is there use that page number + 1 (because of a banner page) and save it. Then continue going through until I find that the company # changes. At that point, I will know the beginning and ending pages of that companies section. Take that and submit it to spool tool to create a PDF of that section. Then continue on from there. That way I won't loose the formatting of the original, because I am using the original to create my PDF files. We won't be using this for more reports, so creating it for just this one won't be a problem. Thanks again for all the suggestions... Mike
