The feature in Oracle actually allows you to generate a text file of
'reverse transactions'.  You can then run these transactions through SQL.

This would be very similar to what the commands APYJRNCHG and RMVJRNCHG
could do.  Oracle has facilities to rollback a journal (a log as they call
it), but its pretty much an all or nothing command.

The feature to generate reverse transactions gives Oracle the granularity
to reverse the effects of a bad program or user input against particular
tables (rather than the entire database), something we already have in the
***JRNCHG commands.

Since you could review the text file containing the SQL commands first,
perhaps it has some extra advantages?
