Re: V3.2 to V5.1 non-stop upgrade

Thanks for all the comments its so good to re-inforce the point with other
opinions.
I contacted IBM Assist, and they recommended following the roadmap, so that
will be my plan...
The reason I was asking was because fellow collegues were recommended to go
v4.1 to v5.1 directly, which I know is not comparable, but I just wanted to
explore all avenues and see if I too, had alturnatives.....
But I don't, and I'm comfortable with my decision now....

If you are extremely knowledgeable about OS/400, Licensed Programs,
upgrades, user profiles, and backup and recovery you could manage to do
it.   But why would you want to?  Just take the box to V4R5, then do a
small upgrade to V5R1.  You will spend twice (if not 3 or 4 times) as
long figuring out all the steps required, and checking various things
going the V3R2 to V5R1, than you would if you follow the roadmap, and
then do a simple V4R5 to V5R1.

    I can tell you now, if you even try to do anything with QGPL or
QUSRSYS you will get burned.  Follow the roadmap.
