Not sure if this is totally relevant to your situation, but we had 9406 - 820, V4R5 arrive in January, with 42 6717's, and by July, 8 had failed. The customer lost all confidence in the product and eventually IBM agreed to come out and replace all the disks as an act of good will - as they would not admit there was a problem with the product. All the disks are now in and the system is re-installed, up and running - will let u know if there are any subsequent failures.
