Booth: Such a document existed from IBM back in maybe late 1989, but I have no idea how to find it now. The document outlined fundamental responsibilities (and maybe qualifications?) of the various roles such as system operator and system administrator. When I last saw it, it was revised to add the role of system programmer which IBM initially claimed was unnecessary for a system such as AS/400. There was a lot of back and forth involved in getting the role eventually accepted. Maybe something would be available through the IBM education group to support the various certification paths?
