Neil, Here is an extract from our FTP Manager user manual on starting jobs on the 4690 from a client FTP session on the AS/400: ****************************************************** An example of starting background application named testpgm.286 is: ftp> quote adxstart testpgm.286 If you want to execute a batch file (.BAT, etc.) you must use the following format: ftp> quote adxstart \adx_spgm\command.286 -c mybatfile **************************************************** There is quite a bit more about setting up the environment to make this happen.
