Make sure the address of device is also 0. -----Original Message----- From: Zetan Gelbard [mailto:gelbardn@grawk.net] Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2001 3:42 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: hello, world Hi, I have several AS/400 in our datacenter. They are all 2nd hand. I'm new to this type of hardware, but am very excited to learn & intergrate it into our network. I've got 2 9406-500's to the point where I can get a DST console. But when I tell it to IPL, the console goes away. I've tried listening on the other serial ports w/ a terminal program, but to no avail. Where oh where did my system console go? The console is a twinax terminal hanging off of port 0 on a twinax breakout box attached to the only twinax controller. Thanx in advance, zetan +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
