I'm not sure if this has been assumed, or already mentioned. You have
already created the save file on the AS/400, right? If you specify a target
that doesn't exist the PUT will create a physical file, not a save file. It
sounds like you've already done that, and ended up creating a physical file
named SAVF in QGPL, with a single member named SAVF. Now when you try to
send it again it tries to replace the physical file member in QGPL/SAVF.
Perform a DSPFD QGPL/SAVF to check.

If this is the problem you'll need to CRTSAVF LIBNAME/SAVFNAME first and
specify it as the target for a PUT statement, as Marty Urbanek has
indicated.

Subject: FTP save files

Hello everyone,
I have used FTP to save/restore save files from an AS/400 to my PC
for
quite some time. I have several save files I am trying to FTP to the host,
and the transfer is stopping with error 426, cannot write to member SAVF in
file SAVF in library QGPL. Has anyone else encountered this error, and do
you have a workaround? Do you have any idea as to the cause?
