Group,

This morning the "File Server IOA"-card was replaced by IBM. No luck with that.
Support also let me change the MTU-value and it seemed that the traffic stopped
after transmitting 1 block equals the MTU-value.

The other company didn't change anything on their configuration,
they were however experiencing serious performance problems since monday
when working on our machine. ( sometimes even 30sec ).

After testing the whole day, one of the technicians suggested to
install a packet-sniffer on the NT ( the one that does the IP-forwarding ).
The NT started to dump during this installation.
I should say that this NT really needs some extra diskspace.
I got it working again after several reboots.

This evening I had to check some other things on the system,
and yes SNA was still working.
I tested SNDNETF with a 10MB file and it finished in no time !
Is the NT the culprit, and did rebooting ( temporary ) solved the problem ?

I couldn't start MIMIX however ( runs on the TR using IP ).
When checking our configuration yesterday, we noticed that the IP-address from
the TR in the File server was different than the one that's defined as interface
on the TR from the AS/400. ( same subnet ).
As a test we set these adresses equal as defined on the 400. Bad move probably.

I'm going to set the IP-adresses as before and then start MIMIX again.
Hopefully is everything back to normal then and are the performance problems
from the other company solved as well.

Tomorrow, a PC from IBM will be installed on the TR to trace the traffic on it.

Thanks again to Mandy and Jeffrey for their input.

Kind regards,

Chris
