Brad, Yes, it is disappointing. I would have thought IBM would at least pop up a survey or something, to a least go through the motions. I think IBM is having a hard time gearing up for the iNation. I sent in some feedback that they had a busted link on the iNation site, last Wednesday. They fixed the link Thursday. I got a note of thanks yesterday. Well, I guess that was better than no reply at all, which is what I got from the first feedback I sent in. I think they're really overwhelmed by the response. Not enough bags ordered... very small steps towards progress... little dialogue... Sometimes I think they stopped posting the number of iCitizens (29,100 at last count weeks? ago) because the number was too scary! Maybe getting around 50,000 by now. Anyone know how many people work in the entire iSeries Division? 1,000?? I suppose I sound like I'm making excuses for IBM, probably because I am...:-) As far as the ads, I just look at it the same way I look at commercials on TV. A necessary evil, in order for the thing to be "free". (And wishing there was a fast-forward button...;-) Couple other things I noticed: You can opt out of the list by writing Milwaukee, WI... Milwaukee?!? Is that another hot-bed of iSeries activity? Just seemed funny... Also, my URL to the "unique, firsthand line of communication" is http://www.ibm.com/gold/keycustomer/... The word "gold" stuck out because I was wondering if that's what they want to pry from my cold, dead fingers... Or if it signifies something else...ROFL All this kidding aside, these are some reasons why I seriously doubt if it's humanly possible for IBM to do this iNation thing right, on their own. Started reading it. It looks good... wait, what's this.. and add for some xSeries connector? Oh well, they have a personal link for me! This should be fun. I click on it and I am taken to the iSeries home page with not one single piece of personalization for me. I click on it again, thinking I hit the wrong link. Hmmm.. still nothing. Then I realize, they just want to know who's clickin on the link in the email and who's still interested. hmmm... Great progress guys! Start collecting data and advertising xSeries products to us! Now that's a peoples' site! I bet that's what everyone emailed to you for feedback. Advertise us your other line of products.
