Where is your companies focus? Are you doing active development? Are you an end user company or a software developer? The Technical Dev Conf is geared more for software developers than for end users. There are some neat tool for end users too, but mostly for developers. Common is a more generalized forum. We here are end users that have developed our own home grown software. We do not sell software but have 6 full time developers as well as 3 full time operators. The technical conference was great. Learned lots of tricks of the trade and more in-depth information on activation groups, service programs and procedures. Christopher K. Were would my $1000 dollars best be spent? We are a small shop, and my responsibilities cover the as/400 as a whole... rpg, websphere, net.data, os installs, hardware, security, green screen apps.... my question is this... I have never been to the IBM dev conf, but I have been to common... I did enjoy my experience there (common) and would like to go back... but is the dev conference better? the same, not as good... any body, been to both and have some good insights... p.s. I hope I don't start a war... I'm just looking for some good pro's and con's, if possible. thanks, tim +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
