I've written some of my own commands to suffice, or for the api phobic.
However I find myself not using the commands, but using the API's instead.
Sample commands:
RTVIPADR - retrieves the IP address of the 5250 session it is running in.
RTVJOBD - Retrieves numerous attributes of a job description, like library
list and what not.
CRTUS - Create user space
RTVSAVF - Retrieve Save file
RTVDIRE - Retrieve Directory Entry

RTVJOBD was one of my first RPGLE programs and had to do a lot of
if %addr(parm1)=*null
just to see if the requestor cared about certain information and to avoid
the dreaded MCH3601.

Greetings all.

Question: What would your list of the top 10 API's that you wish IBM
would have a command to do?

If possible: Keep it to 10, and Please state the API name if you know
it.

Maybe we can get some results here.
