Schmuel, The DSPOBJD command with option *SERVICE (as opposed to *FULL) will give you information on the source file the object was compiled from. However, with programs the DSPPGM command is a more direct approach. If the source file no longer exists you can try the RTVCLSRC command. This command will extract the source code from the program for you, as long as when the program was compiled the paramater to allow RTVCLSRC was not specified as *NO. (The default is *YES.) The resulting source code isn't wonderfully formated - but it will compile and is at least (IMHO) 1,000,000 times better than no source at all.
