I thought the guidelines allowed for one vendor advertisement a month. Our AS/400 user group meeting held earlier this month featured PENTA SAFE demo - check www.pentasafe.com ... there were lots of topics they protect that have been hot topics in the past, like you have several sites & you want to manage them all from one place without 400 staff in all places, well you can do that with their products. I have often taken 400 dumps & written something to analyse the contents of the dumps. Well they have written something like eighty such reports. You can see what they are like on their web site. They have things setup so that auditors who know nothing about 400 or your applications can install pentasafe, get a bunch of reports, then remove pentasafe. The auditors can also do the same kind of thing with NT Unix other platforms. Have you heard of Wayne Evans? I think Wayne is considered to be the father of OS/400 Security. He is one of their consultants. He does a 3 day seminar, but our AS/400 user group is seeking the possibility of him doing a 1 day seminar for us next fall.
