Latest News/400 also got some good articles on V5R1, including one by Al 
Barsa.
Although to be fair, Al is not talking about OS/400, but the new faster 
hardware.

I will need to read several such articles until the key facts sink into my 
brain.

Base means NO INTERACTIVE. (We need STANDARD.)
S-Star is pronounced F-Star, which is why I could not find in the IT EXISTS 
handouts some of the stuff they were talking about.
My iSeries is not a joke - it is for real.... speakers at IT EXISTS did tell 
some jokes & I thought that was another one.  Check out

After telling us that i Series never goes down, we now have a new high speed 
link  to disk drives switchable between 2 i Series for when they do go down, 
but only when one at a time.

There has got to be lots of this stuff that is not yet sinking into my brain.
