Chris, My previous employer ran Lawson. We had two main complaints. 1 - Unix & NT always got enhancements and updates first. We (AS/400 users) had to wait additional months for the same functionality. 2 - They were extremely behind in their development of the healthcare enhancements for the materials management module. When we bought Lawson we understood that we would be getting that update in a few months. Two years later when I quit to take the job I have now they still hadn't finished development (for the AS/400 - NT & Unix had it). In general, my understanding from the users was that it would not be appropriate for small - medium sized companies. I.e. the level of sophistication and flexibility of the software also created a level of complexity. It seemed that they assumed that some tasks would be divided up among multiple people, and the software was designed as such, whereas in a smaller company a single employee would handle it. However, if you are looking at packages like JDE, PeopleSoft, or SAP then I think you should also look at Lawson.
