Not here, but at previous places - techy and users where not all that impressed; I have heard that they have gotten better, but having worked there in support for a time; I would not be very comfortable purchasing their software; and I apologize, I cannot expound any further upon that. As for accounting packages, Infinium is good, JDE isn't too bad (but a pain for us technical people to work with until you get used to the enormous amount of code that is required for their flexibility), BPCS is coded just as ugly as MAPICS - after that I have not personally ran or worked with any other packages on the AS/400. Make sure you get requirements from someone other than a sales person, some of these systems are huge resource hogs that can bring a "busy/full" system to its knees. Get CPW minimums, DASD space utilization for not only the programs but the data files keeping in mind how large your organization is and how much the bean counters want to keep on the system...
