I guess you cant have them pick up the file from you,  as opposed to you FTP'ing it up, have them fetch it.

That way your program should output quicker than they can suck the data up..

I couldn't use any authority commands as i'm uploading
to a unix based server from our AS/400 system & and
the renaming files couldn't be done as they were
program generated multiple files with random file
