Since it's hard to follow .... try this: sndpgmmsg msg(&qslt) topgmq(*same) Do the above in the CLP "after" you build the &QSLT and before you call opnqryf....... This will allow you to "see" what the actual string looks like that opnqryf is attempting to use.... When the program abends....Press F10 look in the joblog and you will see the &qslt and then you can determine the problem.... I would run this interactive till I got it working right..... Remember the rules about numeric and alpha variables.....
