If you can figure out how to get users to get to those terminals, then
you've got half the battle figured out to make sure that users don't get
them who shouldn't. First of all do the obvious things. For example, if
you are using passthru, then use a separate virtual workstation controller.
If you are using Client Access then name your terminal sessions. If you
are using telnet then use the V5R1 feature to select a specific workstation
name, (much like STRPASTHR in earlier releases). Now, if you are worried
that your users may thwart your best efforts and try to sneak around and
use these workstation devices, you can always secure the device itself.
But, you are better off if you can steer them away in the first place.

We use the auto configure for display devices that allows display device
descriptions to be defined as needed and acquired. We have need for a
couple of devices to be restricted to a few users. We can figure out how to
make sure those select few get those dedicated terminals, but how do we
keep others from jumping in and getting those dedicated terminals?
